LRS (Language Recruitment Services) is currently seeking a French speaking General Ledger Manager for a global company within the science industry. This role is Ideal for a General Ledger Accountant with solid experience within an EMEA Finance Shared Services Centre of an International corporation.
Liaising with other internal managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business procedures for the Record-to-Report process stream in the EMEA Financial Shared Services Centre (FSSC).
The French General Ledger manager will work with financial and operations business partners to optimize business practices and ensure all general ledger transactions are captured in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
French General Ledger Manager – Duties

• Manage your team making sure all accounting transactions are processed in a timely manner (including but is not limited to general ledger system maintenance, account reconciliations, fixed asset, close and consolidations reporting.
• Responsible for the financial statement close cycle and operational accounting functions and ensure accurate and timely capture of all accounting transactions
• Provide audit support to external / internal audit teams when needed
• Ensuring GL Accounting transactions are compliant with Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Drive process efficiencies through further automation in the EMEA’s FSSC
• Assist in the documentation of process/procedures to facilitate standardisation for the Record-to-Report team
• Prepare of monthly KPI metrics to monitor your team’s Invoice progress

French General Ledger Manager - in order to apply for this exciting role you must have:
• Fluency in French and English to native speaking level, written and spoken
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong process and project management experience
• Analytical mind and problem solving background
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting required.
• Background in EMEA shared service centre ideally
• Extensive experience with SAP
