Compliance manager – LATAM 
 
Language Recruitment Services (LRS) is recruiting a trilingual compliance manager for a global investment and asset management firm. Very much a stand-alone role, you will encourage and promote regulator obligations on the LATAM and Central America markets.
 
Main duties for the Compliance manager – LATAM and US offshore
 
  • Work with account management, investment, and wholesale distribution teams 
  • Ensure distribution and marketing activity meet with local regulatory requirements 
  • Carry out marketing and financial promotions reviews (including on social media & website)
  • Deliver training and guidance on regulatory issues on assigned market
  • Analyse, monitor, and report on business adherence to applicable regulations
  • Advise on existing and new procedures to mitigate regulatory risk
  • Implement changes where necessary
  • Keep abreast of with new regulations and ensure compliance policies are up to date
  • Support the Head of Product & distribution Compliance on assigned market
  • Manage relationship with local regulatory bodies
 
Profile for the Trilingual Compliance manager
  •  
  • Fluent English as well as native level in both Portuguese and Spanish, written and spoken
  • Qualification in financial compliance and regulations is advantageous 
  • Previous experience in a similar role ideally on LatAm markets
  • Technical expertise in areas such as conflict of interest, financial promotions, inducement, AIFMD, EU legislative framework, cross border distribution
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem solving and client centric mind set
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and ability to network
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinker
  • Organised and robust personality
