Language Recruitment Services (LRS) is currently looking for a Construction Buyer with Mandarin for our client, a well-established European Construction company, based in the City of London.

You will be reporting directly to senior Procurement and Logistics management, ensuring that each construction project is equipped sufficiently with the correct materials and support.

Duties of the Construction Buyer with Mandarin:

• Order processing and calculation of material purchases

• Liaising with new and existing suppliers in English and Mandarin

• Comparing supplier reliability, in relation to costs, deliveries and products

• Assisting project managers in the logistics department, dealing with logistics documents and ensuring that cargo and freights for each project can be arranged appropriately

• Carrying out general administrative duties

• Solving queries relating to invoices and expenses, tracking payments for the procurement team

Requirements of the Construction Buyer with Mandarin:

• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese

• University degree in a relevant field

• Experience in buying, purchasing or logistics preferred but not essential

• Experience within the construction, architecture, or engineering sector

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with clients

• Time-management, organisation and coordination skills
