Permanent Role

This role is at our client’s international headquarters and is an opportunity to join one of the most renowned and trend-setting media and creative platform as Head of Translation & Editorial. The ideal applicant will have strong people management experience as well as a background in either an editorial, copyrighting, trans-creation or a creative translation; however, we will consider other relevant backgrounds as well.

French speaking Head of Translation & Editorial Ecommerce:

- Overseeing a team of translators and editors - supervising both individual and team performance, carrying out evaluation meetings, engaging and training new team members

- Monitoring team targets and engaging additional freelance support when needed

- Completing quality assurance checks of translated & edited content - ensuring adherence to style guidelines and that text is concise, accurate and appropriate for the French speaking markets

- Making sure the text produced by the team is catchy and correct

- Liaising with other departments to develop creative procedures

- Being the French speaking contact for other departments and language teams

French spkg Head of Translation & Editorial - Marketing, Transcreation and Communication in order to apply for this role you must have:

- French to native standards as well as fluent English

-Experience as a people manager, team leader, coach or similar in a translation or editorial domain within the marketing, media, transcreation world or similar as well as translating, trans-creating, editing, sub editing or similar

- Good Microsoft Office skills and ideally CMS as well (although this is not essential)

- Strong interest in creative, media or communication

- Able to meet deadlines and work at a fast pace

- Excellent English both written and spoken
