Language Recruitment Services (LRS) is currently looking for a Mandarin speaking Logistics Coordinator for a global Construction company, based in the City of London.
You will be responsible for overseeing the Logistics/Operations process from start to finish of each construction project, using your excellent communication and organisation skills to ensure a smooth and efficient process. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a dynamic and expanding company, with offices all around the world.
Duties of the Mandarin speaking Logistics Coordinator:
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with forwarders
• Communicating with shipping companies, suppliers, warehouses and construction sites daily to ensure efficiency of deliveries, checking for optimum quality and quantity of products
• Negotiating rates and discounts with service providers to save overall costs
• Overseeing delivery bookings and time slots between ports, warehouses and construction sites and dealing with Custom Clearance
• Organising storage solution and exports for used materials
• Budgeting for warehouse labour expenses
• Registering and verifying insurance claims, invoices and costs, and completing the necessary documents for payment
Requirements of the Mandarin speaking Logistics Coordinator:
• Fluency in Mandarin and English
• At least three years of similar experience in Logistics/Operations
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills and attention to detail
• Willing to travel to construction sites often
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and senior Management
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills in the workplace
